Rethinking your collections

In the current issue (Sept 15, 2013) of Booklist, you’ll find the article “Reference Collections in an Ever-Shrinking Print Environment,” which discusses the fact that although today’s reference librarians rely less on print resources,  print collections still occupy prime space in most libraries.  I thought it would be fitting to make note of it here on Shelf Renewal, since we’re all about working with your print collections.

The article refers to the ALA Annual 2013 program, “Fantastic Voyage: Reference Service in an Ever-Shrinking Print Environment,” and the PDF version of the slides for that program can be found here: Fantastic Voyage.
